About This Location

This monumental bronze sculpture by Glenna Goodacre includes 34 life-sized figures. The memorial remembers the million-plus Irish who starved and the million-plus more who ventured across the Atlantic to make a new home in America. It’s both a national attraction as well as a space for contemplation.
